Pennant flag in commemoration of Royal Visit

Overview

A white pennant flag with an oval paper picture of Prince Phillip glued to the pennant and a scroll with a crown all in purple and white above the picture. The pennant has a narrow border in purple and white, the tip of the pennant is purple and is glued to a wooden rod. The very tip of the pennant is missing.

Flags issued to school children for the visit of Queen Elizabeth the Second and Prince Phillip to Australia in 1954. Unique to the collection. Indication of the importance of the Royal family in Australia

On the pennant glued to the wooden rod in white lettering is 'MORTON PENNANTS' and in purple lettering 'FOR F.W. GREER'
