Wooden painted mantle shelf above with 3 pictures of Australian scenes, two framed, one unframed. Second oven with hot plates above on left, cupboard with drawer above on right. Canisters on shelf above. B) wider view of kitchen which includes full view of gas hot plates and oven, lounge chair with wooden arm, wooden kitchen table with table cloth. Various kitchen items on table including saucepan, alfoil and a pair of glasses. Floor has checked pattern covering. Three of the pictures which were above the stove recess have been removed. House, originally a Whittakers workman's kit house, was unchanged for 90 years. C) Close up of cupboard on right of fire stove recess. Doors ajar to show contents, set of canisters for coffee, flour, sugar, rice and tea are among items on shelf above cupboard.
