Private Walter Harold Alfred TINDALL (1804), 2nd Reinforcements, 28th Battalion, Australian Imperial Forces, astride a camel near the Great Sphinx, Egypt, about December 1915, January 1916. He is on the camel with the tasselled saddle cover on the left. TINDALL joined the Australian Imperial Forces, 28/4/1915 at Perth and reported for duly 3/5/1915 and was originally allocated to the 1st Reinforcements but re-allocated to the 2nd Reinforcements Sailing on His Majesty’s Australian Transport Demosthenes from Fremantle, 22/7/1915. Twice wounded in action and returned to Australia, discharged 13/6/1. TINDALL was a Signaller attached the D Company
