Overview

This brief newspaper article captures some of the atmosphere of the early days of playing golf at MGGC.

The undated article, possibly from "The West Australian" newspaper, describes how one of the women members, Ruby Morgan, broke her handicap by 9 shots in one game.

The article states that the course was par 75 at the time which corresponds with early ladies' scorecards showing 7 par fives, with number 3 being the additional par 5 compared to the latter layout.
