There have been several versions of Shire crockery with different logos representing different eras of the Council. During the 1980s a different logo was adopted to reflect the history of Toodyay in the Shire's brand. The 'Yesterday to Today' logo design includes several of the historic buildings of Toodyay as well as livestock and the railway, reflecting the changing theme of the town from a historic place to one of development and industry. This design was replaced in 2007 when the 'Windmill' logo was adopted.
The Toodyay Road Board and Toodyay Shire Council crockery is significant for:
1.Their association with the Toodyay Road Board and Toodyay Shire Council and the development of civic organisations in the town of Toodyay
2.Their representation of the changing symbol or logo of the Toodyay road Board/Shire of Toodyay, demonstrating how the Council wished to be represented publicly and reflecti9ng the values of the town's people.
