Historical information

Eric SUMMERS, who was a Leading Aircraftman in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) during the Second World War, purchased the sea mine post-war in Perth, WA. The mine displays modifications carried out for the repurposing as a water carrier. The mine was used on the land he cleared for farming near the rural town of Latham, WA, along Summers Road which is named after the family.
