Historical information

It is believed that the painting was a gift to the library from a member of the local community who attended an art class at the library. It was original located in the Kelmscott Library near the Kelmscott Railway Station and was then brought over to the next library which was on the other side of Albany Highway. When the Kelmscott Library moved in 2016 to its new premises in a nearby shopping centre the painting was transferred to the museum.
