TILT CART
1904 - 1926Iron framed, single axle rectangle tilt tray with wood panels across base and on sides. Two wood red 14 spoked wheels with iron rims attached to axle. Two wooden stays come out of the front with assorted iron attachments and rings attached to them for horse tackle to be attached to. Back of tray is a iron frame and wood panel that lifts out of metal slots.
The tilt tray was used on the Armadale farm by ^^ and ^^ Anderson, brothers who arrived in the Armadale area in 1904 and used the cart up to 1926 when it was replaced by a truck. They used the tray to cart produce from the farm to the train station for delivery to market. The tray was pulled by a single horse
