The Ancient Order of Foresters was a fraternal benefit society that originated in England in the mid-1700s and later established branches in Australia, including Victoria in 1849. It was a non-profit organization providing financial and social benefits to members and their families in times of unemployment, sickness, death, disability, and old age. The organization is now known as the Foresters Friendly Society.
