The Ansonia Clock Company was a clock manufacturing business founded in Ansonia, Connecticut, in 1851 and then moved to Brooklyn, New York, in 1878. The company has produced hundreds of different clock models, including Gingerbread, Porcelain, and Crystal Regulator styles. The business shut down in 2006.

This clock was found in a tea chest of clock parts, and in poor condition. The Donor's husband repaired the clock and was displayed at their home. (Note: to help in the repairs, a box of clock parts were given to husband by a friend)
