This children’s leather boot was unearthed while digging in the garden at 195 Townshend Road. While the boot shows the wear of having been buried for a long time, it is also preserved well enough to show many details of this historical footwear, from the leather uppers to the eyelet holes where laces were once placed, to the wooden sole attached with nails.
