SLIDES FOR ROTOSCOPE/STEROSCOPE: JUDITH MITCHELL

Overview

200 small paper cards used with the rotoscope. Cards each have an image duplicated left and right side and a number in the middle.
Reverse: Has the brand name of the Cigarettes from where the cards were collected from.

Historical information

Belonging to Judith Mitchell.
A tinplate, working order, pocket stereoscope, Design registered in 1905, the Pocket Rotoscope, produced by the Rotary Photographic Co Ltd, New Union St, London. This one holds a complete set of 12 double stereoscopic photographs of Edwardian Bournemouth. The Rotoscope collapses and folds neatly into a small pocket book size.
