Overview
Large wooden Chest with rounded lid. Lid has lock and 2 hasps. Interior is paper coated and a stencilled design is on one part of the internal lid. Lid is fitted on 3 decorative metal hinges and the body is strengthened externally with wooden battens.
Corners have metal plating to give rigidity which is nailed to the wood. The exterior has a patterned finish on unknown material.
There are leather handles to each side. One is in place but broken and the other is also broken and stored in the chest.
