'Free French' fundraising pin
c. 1940World War two era 'Free French' supporters pin badge, depicting the colours of the French flag (red, white and blue) on the diagonal and a central red Cross of Lorraine.
It is mostly rectangular in shape with two slightly curved sides at the bottom forming a point to resemble a flag or pennant.
It is made from laminated card and has a metal pin threaded through a small hole at the top for attachment.
'France Libre' (Free France) was established by General Charles de Gaulle as a government-in-exile in London in June 1940 after the Fall of France to Nazi Germany.
