PHOTOGRAPH: VISIT OF DUKE AND DUCHESS OF YORK, CHILDREN'S WELCOME
1927Black and white photograph
Front: The image gives a large general view of children waiting in the stand with flags held erect. There is a smaller group seated outside the stand to represent Tasmania, presumably. Brass instruments are arranged on the grass in front of the stand. In the bottom left-hand corner is a figure of a woman in a coat with a fur collar and a hat with her arm around the shoulders of a child with a hat covering its entire head (this image does not appear on the photograph). The negative shows a larger general view than the print.
Reverse: blank
