Historical information

Joseph Perry puchased the Limekilns Estate in 1880 comprising the area now known as Herdsman Lake, Perry Lakes and Reabold Hill. Perry Lakes is named after Joseph Perry.
Parts of the original homestead provided construction material for the present Perry House, built by the Perth City Council in 1919, for the caretaker of the Endowment Lands. The City of Perth had purchased the Limekilns Estate from Joseph Perry in 1917.
Perry House is situated in Bold Park, which is managed by the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority.
