PHOTOGRAPH: LAST TRAM DAY - ROKEBY ROAD 1958

Copies of photographs taken by Dennis E Elger (dec'd) of the last tram day in Rokeby Road.

Picture looking north down Rokeby Rd from between Heytesbury and Hamersley Rds. There are two sets of tramlines going down the centre of the road. There are a few cars. There are some shops on the LH side of the road, a butcher shop and several others, with the War Memorial on the corner of Hamersley Road. Wooden electricity poles are all down the RH side of the road. There is a man walking in the very left of the picture. On the reverse is written 'ROKEBY ROAD - LOOKING NORTH / APRIL 1958'.
