Harold Grant enlisted from South Kalgoorlie on 5 February 1917 and embarked on HMAT Port Melbourne on 24 July 1917. He was killed at the Battle of Amiens on 8 August 1918 and is buried in Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France.The Battle of Amiens is regarded as a great Allied Victory, the start of the Last 100 Days and the Black Day of the German Army
