PHOTOGRAPH: PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH AFTER FIRE

Overview

Colour photograph of the rear of the Presbyterian Church, Bagot Road, after a fire. The church building is a white with a metal roof, and the image shows the building to have suffered significant fire damage to the weatherboard rear, with the wooden panels having being burnt black. Sheets of twisted, fire damaged corrugated metal can be seen in the foreground, and there is a eucalyptus tree to the left of the image that looks to have also been scorched by the fire.

Reverse:

'FIRE BEHIND PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH BAGOT RD. / NOTE THE PATH OF THE FIRE - ONE DOOR WAS SCORCHED BY THE FLAMES - ANOTHER NOT TOUCHED THOUGH THE WALL BESIDE IT WAS BLACKENED. FIRE BURST THROUGH A DOOR TO THE LEFT OF THE STEPS', handwritten in black ink.
