John Holland
A black and white head and shoulders photograph of a man formally dressed and wearing a Fedora style hat. The man has a white moustache and pinned with a safety pin on the left lapel of his jacket is a chain which has a shield attached to the end of the chain. The photograph is mounted on white patterned cardboard and surrounded by a white wood frame.
John Holland was the leader of the party who blazed the trail from Broomehill to Coolgardie on April 14th to June 30th 1893.

Underneath the photograph in the bottom left corner is a gold stamp of two lions either side of a ball and a crown above the ball and the words 'T.F.MACKAY KALGOORLIE' underneath the lions.
Underneath the photograph and hand written in black ink on a loose white label is 'JOHN.HOLLAND. LEADER OF THE PARTY WHO BLAZED THE TRAIL FROM BROOME-HILL TO COOLGARDIE APRIL THE 14TH TO JUNE.30.1893'
On the back of the photograph hand written in blue ink is 'R.J.HOLLANDS COOLGARDIE WENDY? FROM ERNEST SCAHILL'
