SCALES, BABY WEIGHING

Overview

Woven cane basket with rectangular cream wooden base affixed to the scales with two screws. The scales have a pear shaped base with a supporting arm one end and the other end holds the cane basket and the weighing mechanism. When the child is placed in the basket, two metal rulers, one graded in pounds and the other in ounces have adjustable weighs which when balanced give the correct weigh of the child. A third rod has a sliding hexagonal weigh for fine tuning. Part nos. 23B / 23C, which rest on an arm connected to the base, when used in conjunction with the scales, increase the amount which can be weighed to 31Lbs.
