Overview

Blue linen hard cover with gold crown on front cover and gold lettering on spine. End papers have blue background with the Royal Crest in colour. Front end paper has the notation 'To My Dear Little Glen, Very Best Wishes for Many more Birthdays as Happy as this one, Love Aunty Pix'. Frontis in colour: Photo by Dorothy Wilding of Queen Elizabeth II. 97 pages of photographs in black & white and colour. Book describes the preparation for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, to be on June 2nd 1953 with many pictures of the Royal Family, and other ceremonies. Page 96 has a portrait of her majesty the Queen by Mr. Douglas Chandor, which is to be given by Mrs Roosevelt (American President's wife) to the British Embassy in Washington.
