Attached to front end paper is leaflet with portrait of Baron Ferdinand von Muct on the development of culture and science in Victoria during the 19th Century. On fly leaf is written inscription 'To young Mr Cronin, my botanic helper, for friendly remembrance from Baron Von Mueller 7/11/93'. (1893)
