Overview

One baby's bonnet.
Lawn weave fabric, single frill at nape of neck, double frill around the face, three draw strings for fitting, two small holes in crown.

Historical information

Was made for the first child of Mrs. Mary Margaret Dempster in c1868.
Mary (nee Taylor) had married Charles Edward Dempster on 5 March 1867 and went on to have three sons and four daughters. She was born circa 1838 and died in 1917.
