Statement of significance

A stubby holder is a foam sleeve that goes around a can or bottle to insulate the contents. In Australia bottles of beer are called stubbies due to the smaller and squatter appearance of locally manufactured bottles compared to imported bottles.

Stubby holders are often customised to personalise them or for advertising. This one has the achievements of the Tonkin Highway extension and Champion Lakes projects along with the logos of the companies that were responsible for it.
