Hair tidy bag decorated with beading.
1. A container which might find a place on a dressing table into which combed out hair could be put and stored until there was enough for some kind of hair piece.
2. The hair collected in the hair tidy was used as filling for pincushions, the oils from the hair kept the pins from rusting.
