PETERSEN, Robbie

Robbie was an amateur and a Royal Fremantle Golf Club member when he won the MGGC Open in 1969.

 

A newspaper report of the 1969 MGGC Open described the event (see the MGGC Amateur Event for the full article). Robbie's morning score was 80, but he followed that up in the afternoon round with a course record 68, which is described in some detail in the article. (Another description of that day in the entry form for the 1981 Glades Open incorrectly states that his 68 occurred in the morning round.)

 

His picture attachments and the RFGC pennant player profile newspaper article were provided by his son Ben Petersen. All are undated. However, the first picture is likely to be close to the time of his MGGC Open win in 1969, and the second appears to be some time afterwards. The pennant player profile appears to be close to the same date as his first picture.
