ESPIE, Matt

Matt ESPIE commenced in November 2016 as General Manager in an acting capacity before he was permanently appointed to the position. Matt had previously served several years at the club as Member Services officer.

Matt's departure from the club in 2026 was announced by President Mark Bonser with this statement:

''The Board of Directors advises that, by mutual agreement, our General Manager, Matt Espie, will be departing from Melville Glades Golf Club, with his last day of employment being 27th February 2026.

Matt has served the Club with distinction for 10 years, nine of which have been in the pivotal role of General Manager. During his tenure, he has made a significant contribution to the Club’s operations and development, overseeing key advancements and maintaining the high standards our members expect. The Board extends its sincere thanks to Matt for his dedicated service and unwavering commitment over this period.''
