This collection is of the first hotel in Kojonup named Elverd Hotel after its first publican William Elverd. The hotel has had several name changes; 'Elverds Hotel' - 1868, commonly known in the town as 'Semblance of Old England', 'Commonwealth Hotel' - 1901, and 'Commercial Hotel' - 1948?. William Elverd was granted the first publican liscence in July 1868.
