Cardboard fundraising pin 'For France'
c. 1940Diamond shaped cardboard fundraising pin with a hole at the top through which is threaded cotton for hanging.
It features the blue, white and red colours of the French flag, but in horizontal rather than vertical bands. The central white band has the words 'For France' printed in black.
The reverse is plain.
Not a lot is known about this cardboard tag. It was purchased with two Red Cross fundraising tags from 1943, so it is assumed it dates from the same time period.
