Brown card cover with gold lettering and pen drawing of 'Forest Hill' about 1870 by James Gribble, Muir and Sons bookeeper who married Bessie, daughter of Robert and Mary Muir. Back cover has the Muir crest 'Durum Patientia Frango' - I overcome difficulty by patience'. Inside front cover illustration of Rope-rush - Lepyrodia Muirii found near Lake Muir. Lepyrodia - Greek word meaning layered like the skins of an onion. Muirii - named after Thomas Muir who collected the original specimen in the early 1870's. Inside back cover is photograph of Thomas Muir aged Ninty-three the last of his generation. Family History of Andrew and Elizabeth Muir 'Forest Hill'. From their arrival in Albany, Western Australia 1844. Book compiled for family reunion 1979 by Alison and Jim Muir. 27 pages, illustrated, maps, and photographs.
