Large piece of cream paper with black printed border (design of banksia flowers). Printed in black and fairly ornate.

Certificate reads "Western Australia Lunancy Department / This certificate / is granted to Phyllis Blackwell / on having passed the final examination / of competency in mental nursing on the / 7th day of July 1932 / for the State of Western Australia". Signed by the three people involved in black ink. Hospital.

Certificate was issued to mental health nurses on completion of three years study and training at Heathcote.
