Came to Australia from the Philippines in 1970 and commenced General Nursing Training at the Rockhampton Base Hospital Queensland. Came to Perth and Mercy Hospital Mt Lawley in 1973 and completed her Midwifery Training in 1974.
Gloria has worked as a midwife at Mercy Hospital( with extended breaks for child rearing).
Gloria reccommenced working in the Maternity section of Mercy hospital Mount Lawley on night duty in 1981. When the Maternity was moved to the 2nd Floor in 1996 and renamed the Family Birthing Unit, Gloria continued to work as a night duty Midwife. In August 2000 Gloria returned to day duty."
