Historical information

The Rose Fuhrmann Child Health Centre and Kindergarten opened at 138 Hamersley Road in 1969. Previously on the site, the original Infant Health Centre opened in 1954 inwrought in a building that had originally been a headmaster's residence. At this time the City Council owned the building, and the Public Health Department and. Lotteries Commission had helped to finance the scheme.
