The minutes are typed and then glued onto pages of the book, minutes are hand signed and dated. It is a good record of the district activities in grain growing, the people involved and the problems; such as fuel prices and commodities payment that the farmers experienced.

On a white label glued to the front cover in black typed lettering is "KATANNING ZONE COUNCIL WHEAT BARLEY OATS SECTION AND GENERAL SECTION ANNUAL & QUARTERLY MEETINGS" and underneath is "NOV 19th 1965 to " handwritten in blue ink is "10th Nov 1978".
