Overview

A map of the east side of Katanning town site, extending south showing Broomehill townsite and east showing Badgeup, and farm locations over the whole map. Coyrecup lake, Ewlyamartup lake, Cobline River Flats are also marked. In the top left hand corner there is a line showing the boundary of the rabbit proof fence.

Historical information

The map is a scale of one mile to the inch. The map was reprinted on 7/8/1950.

Inscriptions and markings

On the right hand side of the map is circular stamp with black printed letters around the top of the circle "WESTERN" and below the circle "AUSTRALIA". Below this word in black printed lettering is "W.V. Fyfe Surveyor General".

In the centre of the circle is another circle which has a black swan in the centre. Around the inner circle in black printed letters is "DEPt. OF LANDS & SURVEYS"
