Summary: Jean Howl (nee Lander) was born in Kalgoorlie on 22 July 1900 and moved to Subiaco in 1914. In this interview she recalls her early life in Kalgoorlie, World War One, her mother's Hay Street shop, work in Albany, Bill's Tea Rooms, and special family events. Mrs Howl is the sister of Eulie Broome, Mrs Trifie Day and Mrs Jess Winch.
