Fish Cutlery set in E.P.N.S with resin handles, not a matching set. Two forks matching with Christopher Johnson Silver plate mark. Six fish knives with matching ferrules, scrolled pattern on blades. Three forks, matching ferrules to knives, one fork same ferrule and materials as knives, smaller than matching forks.

Box in green baize lined Oak box, white plate on box "Christopher Johnson & Co. Manufacturer. Sheffield, England". Brass plaque on lid, brass lock marked "Secure lever, English Make, Patent no 61652/12". Brass hinges and keyhole cover.

Historical information

Christopher Johnson commenced business in Sheffield, England in 1836 as C & H Johnson, then became Christopher Johnson and Co in 1868 with a nephew , and another later partner, the firm closed in 1955 but during its life exported to Australia as a major part of the business and then to New Zealand
