Overview

Black and white copy of a photograph of a truck with a gas tank on back. The tank is upright with a domed top. The side of the back of the truck reads 'C.I.G. (West Australia) Pty Ltd' is printed on the side of the bed of the truck, as is 'CIG' on the front passenger door. The truck is parked beside a large warehouse with open sliding doors.

Reverse:

'Perth Oxygen Works/Bedford Liquid Oxygen Transport Tank, looking toward the front and RH side/Taken: May 1961/Photo No.: XL 207/3', handwritten in black ink.

Historical information

Photo from album compiled by a CIG (now BOC) employee covering period 1920s-1970s. Each photo was carefully labelled. The album was borrowed for the 'Subiaco Industry' exhibition (1998). Perth Oxygen Co. later taken over by CIG and later BOC. See also P99.43-51
