HARVESTER; SUNSHINE
Sunshine harvester.
Metal and wood with tin sheets.
Steel wheel.
Wood painted red and cream.
One and a half metal wheels.
Metal seat on left side.
As there is no model number on the frame it indicates this harvester dates from 1896 or 1897 - after this time all had model numbers.
Also 'Sunshine' sign not removable which is another indication of it being an early model.
Donated to the Newcastle Gaol Museum in Oct 1961 by Massey-Ferguson (Aust) Ltd., Caledonian Avenue, WA.

"Sunshine" H 251 ( Mark '103b' is a casting number, not a model number.)
Correspondence July 1962 from AW Collins, Product Training Supervisor at Massey-Ferguson, in response from a request by the Toodyay Shire Clerk for the harvester be put into “a suitable condition for display” advises that the harvester is a 1900 model and is in “as good a condition as possible” as “parts are no longer available.”
(Original rail siding at Maylands was H.V. McKay, then McKay Massey Harris, then Massey-Ferguson)
