Contextual Information

Robert Birch was born in Western Australia in 1939 and studied in the United Kingdom. He travelled in the Middle East before returning to Perth in 1967. Birch taught art before becoming a full-time painter and exhibiting his work in Perth, Hobart, London and Singapore.
