Perenjori, Western Australia, Australia - 002

1988
Overview

An area of badly degraded and reconstructed soil approximately 15 kilometres south-east of Perenjori. The amount of life in this soil has almost been exhausted. With a lot of help i.e. the introduction of organic matter and a balance of aerobic and anaerobic soil fauna, the vegetation in this area may be rejuvenated? Some soil fauna counts in this area little more than 100,000 per kilogram of soil. An optimum level is at least 10,000,000 per kilogram of soil.
