Overview

square metal body frame with hessian bag covering all side walls, these metal walls are all perforated metal to allow air flow. The top of the Box shape has a tray type top to hold water in. The front door has perforated metal missing.

Historical information

Made by Albert Pratt - who came to Gnowangerup W.A. with his father W. Pratt prior to 1915. His father was in the building and plumbing trade. Advert was placed in the Gnowangerup times as early as 1914.

Albert Pratt had businesses in Gnowangerup area for several years, Gnowangerup is the neighboring town to Ongerup, while still in the plumbing business Albert was instrumental in supplying electricity to the town of Gnowangerup Dash DC current. Albert also ran silent movies in the local hall on a weekly basis,
1929 Pratt's plumbing advertised the availability of stoves, separators, motor spirits, oils, petrol, coolers, baths and showers. he was assistant secretary of the Gnowangerup Hospital board.
