Contextual Information

Sportsmen’s Association of Australia (est 1950s) was established to foster interest in sport and mobilise support for charities. It named an annual trophy after Walter Lindrum for outstanding sportspeople (men and women). Libby Felton’s LINDY Award in 1975 was for State finalist for Australian Sportsman of the year. The Award was replaced by the Aust Institute of Sport’s own Sport Performance Awards.
