Black & white photograph taken outdoors of two women, a baby and a dog.

Historical information

Isabella Jane Duncan (1843-1940) was the first born child of Francis Watson Pearson and Mary Ann Pearson (nee Blackett). She married Thomas Lindsay Duncan in 1857. They farmed at Raphoe, Central Greenough, were the couple we to raise a family of 9 children. Thomas died in 1878 and Isabella continued managing the farm until retiring to Rose Cottage, Central Greenough. There she was cared for by her oldest daughter Mary Ann (1860-1927). The baby, Betty May Elphick, was Isabella's granddaughter.
