Historical information

Malachi Reidy Meagher (1836-1906) was a former convict who worked from the Freshwater Bay Convict Depot (1859).

Malachi married Caroline Stubberfield (1836-1898) in 1862.

They had 9 surviving children:

Lilian Caroline (1871-1942)
Frances Julia (1873-1947
Martin Malichi (1875-1897)

Historic records contain variations in names (Malichi and Reedy). Malachi was also known as Miall. One reference refers to Gerald as Gerald Shenstone.

Mary Ellen married Charles Henry Henderson (1865-1936) in 1894 and they had six children:

Hilda Margaret married Alfred Edward Perry in 1908.
