Vincent Hoult Frankis Lane, known as Frank, was the son of James Frankis and Constance Lane of 13 Walter Street. He attended Miss Parnell's School initially Junior), then Claremont Central and later Guildford Grammar to which he travelled by train on Mondays, returning on Saturday afternoon. He cut enough wood over the weekend to last his mother for the week. He became a farmer at Three Springs where he met his wife Ella. He died in Greenwood in 1985
