Overview

Foundations of the north wall. 'B' Horizon is defined by the tree and shrub roots all growing on top of the 'B' Horizon. 'C' Horizon is 45 centimetres below the bottom of the foundations. Sample of 'C' Horizon material was taken 75 centimetres below the foundations. Sample of 'C' Horizon material is on display. (Note cavity beneath the foundations.) As the soil has been reconstructed it has shrunk away from the foundations. The bonding material between the stones is disintegrating.
