Overview
The early interceptor bank (D) on the right is not deep enough to seal into the impermeable layer. The throughflow continues on to the collapsed zone (B) forcing water to the surface (B to A). (C) is a test hole in the collapsed zone which is nearly dry - only surface water on top. The Treasurer (Barbara Jamieson) is examining a typical valley floor salting problem.
