Historical information

Mrs Thelma Strickland came to Darkan in 1946 from Queensland when she married local resident Ray Strickland. The family farmed out at Dardadine for before Thelma and Ray, together with their four children moved into Darkan.
Thelma took over running the drapery in 1964 and successful ran the business for 22 years.
